Problem
An error occurs at on the PanelView Plus at runtime resolving a tag:

Item '[<shortcut>]<address> is unresolved in the processor on route
CompactLogix in slot 0 of the chassis at <ip address>

Cause 1
The tag mentioned in the error message does not exist in the controller or the syntax is incorrect.

Solution 1
Add the missing tag to the controller program or correct the syntax

Cause 2
An Ethernet shortcut is pointing to a wrong IP address

Solution 2
Correct the IP address in the Runtime (Target) tab in FactoryTalk View Studio Machine Edition
