Statistics and Probability Exercises

The document provides instructions for a statistics and probability exercise. Students are directed to form groups of 5, work cooperatively on exercises in class without leaving except for necessity, and submit a single output per group. The exercises involve expressing claims in symbolic form, identifying null and alternative hypotheses, determining if tests are one-tailed or two-tailed, and identifying type I and II errors. Students are also asked to state conclusions in non-technical terms for rejecting or failing to reject the null hypothesis.
