Test Mic

This document discusses testing various components in mobile phones, including microphones, earpieces, loudspeakers, coils, capacitors, and LEDs. It describes 4 types of microphones and how to test each component using a multimeter by checking for continuity or different readings between the positive and negative sides. The document provides guidance on setting the multimeter and placing the leads to test if each component is functioning properly.

Mobile components testing & checking.

                                    Mobile
phones have many small SMD (Surface
Mounted Devices) components fixed on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) or
on mobile Casing. All components have different work to do. So their
way of testing is also different. Let’s we discuss how to test different
component’s of mobile. Here are some components and their testing
methods.

                  1-Micro phone

Micro phone is such a device which sends our voice to
others...

                                Type of mics
There are 4 types of mic.
1- Pasted mic
2- Universal mic
3- spring mic
4- strip mic
      Testing a micro phone
Set the multimeter's veriable on X100 range and put the meter leads on
both side of mic points. Note the reading. Now change the lead's
direction and note the reading again.
Multimeter will show different reading on both sides. That's mean the mic
is OK.

                         2-Earpiece
Ear piece is such a component which helps us to hear the voice coming
from the other mobile...
                                          Testing
Set the multimeter's variable on X100 range and put the meter leads on
both side of mic points.
If multimeter shows continuousy that's mean the earpiece is OK.

             3-Loudspeaker
Loudspeaker is such a component which gives a loud sound to make us
alert
While the incoming call.
                                          Testing
Set the multimeter's variable on X100 range and put the meter leads on
both sides of loudspeaker.
If multimeter shows continuousy that's mean the loudspeaker is OK.

                               4-Coils
Coils is a such component which filter current. It found in
Every section of mobile. It is mostly found in light section.
                                          Testing
Set the multimeter's veriable on X100 range and put the meter leads on
both sides of loudspeaker.
If multimeter shows continuousy that's mean the coils is OK.

               5-Capacitors
Capacitors is such a component which store's voltages
And give it when the voltages become low.
There are many types of capacitors but we will discuss only two types.
   1) Polar capacitor
It's such a component which has (+) and (-) side.

2) Non polar capacitor
Non polar capacitor don’t have (+) and (-) sides. So it doesn’t matter
which side you are placing.

                           6-LED (Light Emitting Diode)
LEDS are such components which glow and give light to see mobile
screen and key pad buttons.
                                           Testing
Set multimeter variable on X1K or on Buzzer. Place one knob of
multimeter on (+) side of LED and the second on the  (-) side of LED. If
LED glows It’s ok otherwise it is burn out.
