BREAKING BARRIERS Part 2

The document discusses barriers that must be broken in order to receive blessings from God. It notes that breaking requires time, patience, and waiting, and cites a passage where Jesus broke loaves of bread to feed thousands of people. There are two barriers mentioned: 1) Cultural barriers, where brokenness should lead to a culture of faith rather than faithlessness, and preparation is needed like preparing soil for seeds; and 2) Structural barriers, where order, structure and management of what one has is needed before receiving more from God. Breaking barriers requires preparation and getting structures ready to receive what God will give.

BREAKING BARRIER part 2

John 12:24

“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed.
But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”

I heard Ps. Jentezen Franklin once, “There is a blessing in the breaking”. Most of the time the barrier
toward the blessings of God is being whole. In the fact the greatest miracles takes time. You can never
rush a miracle. You can neither rush God.

Like any parent, there was never a day that I am not fascinated or wonder with our son. Everytime he
tells us something new, it surprises us. Like for one, he can now discern when we start to raise our
voices and he will tell us, “Don’t be angry, daddy, okay? Don’t be angry, mommy? Okay?” So instead of
getting angry, we burst in laughter. Then he tells us, “no laughing!”

Many of us wants to speed up the process. We wanted to reach something right away. I want it, right
here, right now. We don’t want to line up when we ride. We don’t want to wait. Ayaw natin ng pinag-
aantay tayo.

But if there’s something we need to realize and that is “BREAKING REQUIRES TIME”. IT REQUIRES
PATIENCE. IT REQUIRES WAITING.

I’d like to read a passage here in Matthew 14:13-21 NIV

13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of
this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he
had compassion on them and healed their sick.

15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already
getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”

16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.

18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the
five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and BROKE THE LOAVES. Then he
gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied,
and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of
those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

From here we can see that there was a situation. Just imagine 5000 men excluding women and children.
ANOTHER BARRIER TO BE BROKEN IN OUR LIVES:

1. Cultural Barrier

I believe that when there is a storm in our lives, God has long before prepared us already.

Parang sa pag-aaral lang. Di nanabigyan ng pasusulit hangga’t walang lesson.

“You can do all the right things, but still not experience growth if the soil isn’t prepared in the
right way. Strategies, tactics, and ideas—no matter how valuable or helpful—won’t work if your
church isn’t ready.” –Michael Lucaszweski

Our brokenness should lead us to develop a culture of faith, not a culture of faithlessness. Many
of those who went through trying storms in their lives tend to loosen up their faith.

Yung tipong nasanay ka na lang kasi ganito naman palagi eh.

I remember the parable of the sower in Matthew 13.

1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.
2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the
people stood on the shore.
3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed.
4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.
5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the
soil was shallow.
6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no
root.
7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.
8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times
what was sown.
9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

2. Structural Barrier

Jesus separated the people into groups and that took time.

Sometimes it takes order and structure and management of what you have. Sometimes you
have not managed what you have so God can’t give you more. You need to get the structure
ready for what He is going to give you before you can receive it.
