DepED mandate in the following areas?

Implementation of policies, plans, programs and projects in:

Formal Basic Education:

I will provide the learners with efficient delivery sof the lessons following the
policies, programs and goals of DepEd.

Alternative Learning System:

I will do my best to create a learner’s friendly environment that invites everyone to

study.

2. What can you do as a beginning teacher to:

promote quality education?

As a beginner, I will love and appreciate every learner, I will use modern IM’s that
will make them more interested in learning.

make education accessible to all?

I will extend my teaching to the different kinds of learners. I will encourage children
who aren’t in school to learn and study even if it’s informal. Sharing my time and
knowledge that I have to them.

3. Answer the following questions based on the readings above:

As a teacher, how do you encourage your students:

I will provide a meaningful lesson to my pupils and use a method wherein they will
have a chance to actively participate.

to apply the competencies prescribed in the curriculum?

Teach the mental activities involved in listening — mental note-taking, questioning,

reviewing. I will make them see how to use it in their everyday life.

to reflect and evaluate their home- and culture-based values?

I will let my students share their culture and respect it, being sensitive
in their beliefs and careful not to violate their cultures and make them
appreciate it better.

Which among your specific roles/functions as a teacher can signify

your responsibility among your students and people in the
community?

As a teacher, I see myself as an innovator, moderator and motivator. Letting my

students appreciate the value of education, their value as a learner.
What plans do you have as a teacher to achieve the learner-centered
philosophy?

By focusing on the needs of students, I may use different ways, and empowering my
students is one of them, by making them see their worth and give them
responsibilities about their own learning, preparing students for a changing future.

What can you do to better serve the learners in relation to learner-

centered philosophy?

By allowing students to share in decisions, believing in their capacity to lead.

Including students in planning, implementation, and assessments. Involving the
learners in these decisions will place more work on them, which can be a good
thing.

How can you foster partnership and extend linkages to your stakeholders?

Share the vision with your stakeholders on a more regular basis than you typically
would. Don’t wait for structured meetings, use every opportunity you have with
them to get them on the same page. Involving them in achieving it will help provide
an entire learning, safer and more friendly community.

4. Students learn in a child-friendly, gender sensitive, safe, and

motivating environment.

What can you contribute to ensure a child-friendly, gender-sensitive,

safe, and motivating environment?

By teaching students to respect each other’s gender and culture. And by ensuring a
healthy, hygienic, and safe learning environment, with healthy policies and
practices.

How do you address the uniqueness of each learner?

By identifying special strengths and talents of each learner, and assist in meeting
uniqueness learning needs. Incorporating multiple intelligences into curriculum. In
such, we may provide a lesson with different approach, and differentiated activities.

How do you ensure an enabling and supportive environment for effective

learning to happen?

By addressing the needs of the learners, which is security, love and belonging,
freedom, and even fun. Keeping a positive environment, correcting the behavior
without highlighting the names of the ones making mistakes. Providing feedback, it
helps them in tracking their progress and in changing their learning strategy
accordingly. It helps them recognize their weak areas while improving the developed
skills.

5. My Philosophy in Teaching

State briefly your philosophy in teaching which spells your vision in entering the
teaching profession towards effective, learner-centered and meaningful teaching
experience. It must be something you believe that will drive you to success and to
being a meaningful agent of change to students and your community.
I believe a good teacher knows and understands students, how they develop and
learn, has a powerful faith in the future. I believe a teacher lives to serve. A teacher
is dedicated to learning, and to making the future the best possible place for all of
us to live.

6. Vision Sharing (write your vision and share your thoughts about it to
your co-teacher)

VISION Sharing

Make a vision board based on the following question:

How do you see your learners 10 years from now?

I can see that most of my students

are now in their 2nd year in college
and taking courses that they
wanted. Making one step closer in
achieving their dreams. Doing their
best to reach that dream of having a
better future.

7. What strategies do you intend to apply a learner-centered

philosophy to ensure the attainment of your vision?

I will design simulations to highlight important information and

processes, create games to explain content, and use small-group
activities to engage students. Achieving more genuine relationships
means being available to students, being glad to be in class with them,
sharing with them what’s happening in our lives that is relevant, and
investing the time it takes to prepare meaningful activities.
8. Concept Mapping. Using the terms written inside the box, label the
following schema appropriately in order to come up with a Concept
