General Description
The primary reason for generating this method statement is to explain the installation process
of Roller Shutter as a specified requirement and as illustrated in standard related drawings

 Hammer
 Scaffolding
 Meter
 Genie Lift (Jack Lift)
 Aluminium Ladder
 Cutting Machine
 Grinding Machine
 Drilling Machine

Materials/Reference
Heavy Duty Roller shutter with other required accessories
 Electric motors
 Specifications
 Drawings

Work Methodology
 Installation of Side posts on the wall after clearing the site
 Hanging the supports for the shutter roll from the slab ceiling
 Installation of rolling shutter with the hanging supports
 Installation of shutter motor
 Connecting the roll chain to the motor
 Electrical connections for the motor
 Installation of Control switch

Safety
 All the works will abide by the safety instruction/procedure as indicated in project
safety plan and regulation.
 The basic personal protective equipment will be worn by all the workers involved.
 During works, there will be adequate housekeeping passage to prevent workers from
tripping over materials.
 The professional operator will be allowed to handle power tools.
 There will be enough sufficient lighting where applicable.
