Lesson Plan Teach and Train

The lesson plan focuses on dental hygiene for kindergarten students. Over the course of 120 minutes, students will learn about dental vocabulary words, proper brushing techniques, and visiting the dentist. They will read a story about a character experiencing tooth trouble and answer questions. For a hands-on activity, students will practice spelling dental words like "floss" and "toothpaste" by writing in shaving cream using toothbrushes. By the end, students will fill out a chart about their own teeth to reinforce the lesson's content. The goal is for students to understand basic dental hygiene and care of their teeth.
