Engine Mount Test

Engine mounts connect the engine to the vehicle's frame and help absorb vibrations. To check for bad engine mounts on a Mercedes Benz, inspect each mount for cracks or deterioration and push down on the engine while having an assistant observe mount movement, as excessive movement could indicate a mount is worn out. Mounts should also be checked after test driving over bumps to feel for abnormal vibrations.
