Intermediate – Module 2 : exercises
a) Play the major scale only with your index finger on the same string.
Whenever you cross over the 12th fret, jump back down one octave.

#1: F major scale – from the 6th string

#2: B major scale – from the 5th string

#3: C# major scale – from the 6th string

#4: G major scale – from the 5th string

#5: Ab major scale – from the 6th string

#6: D major scale – from the 5th string

b) Fill the blanks with the right chords according to the sequences.

#7: G – Am – Bm – C - ____ - Em – F#dim

#8: Bb – Cm - ____ - Eb – F – Gm - Adim

#9: ____ - Gm – Am – Bb – C – Dm - Edim

c) Harmonize all 7 degrees of those major scales with the right chords (starting from the
string of your choice).

d) In the key of C major, play the chords in the order indicated by the Roman numerals.
