Where will the funds go?
You are surely curious to know how the budget will be used. Here's how
we are planning on splitting the money we collect:
Grand Price 50% of the total amount collected from our sponsors and entry fees
will go to the winning team of Krakathon under the shape of the
KRAKATHON EDITION 2019
first prize.
Drinks and It is important to keep our hackers happy and in shape. As we all

provide food and beverages throughout the competition.
Support To ensure for a smooth running of the competition, we will have to
logistic provide necessary equipment such as electrical outlets, wiring,
adapters, etc.
Animation Krakathon is not simply a competition. It also means having fun and
we hope that all participants enjoy this experience. We have
therefore planned animations to liven up the event.
Promoting the This includes all the promotional material such as banners, flyers
event and the rest of marketing support, but also the promotional
campaign in the press and the media to ensure maximum visibility
and participation.

KRAKATHON EDITION 2019
Kraka What?
The Krakathon 2019 is a computer development competition, a Code
Challenge that will take place at Caudan Art Center on 19th and 20th
October 2019.
Our room and equipments allow us to accommodate up to 200
KRAKATHON EDITION 2019
developers for 24h as well as many visitors. The competition itself will run
in teams of 2 to 4 developers who will have 24 hours to score as many
points as possible performing various purely technical exercises.
The exercises will have several difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Difficult and
a duration of realization. Time management will be important and will give
a strategic dimension to the competition. The rules put in place allow
beginners to perform exercises and pros to put in place a tactic to get
ahead of their competitors.
At the end of regulation time, the teams with the most points win the first
three prizes and a ranking will be established to define the runner-ups. The
competition comes with a strong theme, that of Kraken (the mythical
monster), his treasure (cash prizes), the naval adventure (the competition
will be similar to a boat race), quests (exercises) and of course related
animations to create the feel and atmosphere.
