1. Introduction
To define the method of installation of Plumbing sanitary fixtures to be employed to ensure
that the installation works to be undertaken on site are complying with the following:
1.1 Approved contract design drawings issued
1.2 Latest contract specifications issued
1.3 Submitted approved shop drawings
1.4 Submitted approved materials.
1.5 Approved latest local standard recognized and international installation practices
1.6 Project safety plan and associated safety procedures
1.7 Project environmental plan and associated procedures
1.8 Project quality plan and associated quality procedures
1.9 Approved inspection and test plan
The method statement describes herein the procedures for material delivery inspection,
storage, installation, inspection and testing.
2. Scope
This method statement is applicable for plumbing sanitary fixtures installation employing the
approved materials.
This method statement also focuses within site materials inspection, installation, testing
method to ensure that the plumbing sanitary fixtures supplied, installed, inspected and tested
for the works is in accordance with project requirements. The work method summarizes into
the following:

7. Resource Mobilization Plan
Prior site mobilization, careful planning and preparation as per works program will be
implemented. These include appropriation of sufficient numbers of staff and labors,
equipment, materials, site offices and facilities/services.
Actual mobilization to site is dependent on accessibility to site and availability of space
allocations.
Contractor will have to advise the schedule and requirements for site mobilization.
Meanwhile, after a thorough study and careful planning must confirm immediately with
Contractor the schedule and requirements in order to mobilize within sufficient period of
time.
Appropriate and sufficient temporary services such as power, lighting, water,
communications, ventilation, lifting cranes, trolleys, working areas, scaffoldings shall be
provided.

9. Personnel
A management team from Contractor will handle the entire project and manpower which
included staff, engineers, logistics, site coordination, etc.
Prior deployment, selected and well trained staff and engineers to be stationed to site will be
organized, oriented and dispatched to their various specific assignments on site.
Teams of skilled labors, specialized technicians, helpers will be deployed specifically to
undertake the installation of fire protection works.
The entire teams of managers, staff, engineers and labors will undergo the main contractor
in-house safety training prior dispatching to site. Moreover, the entire Contractor team will
undergo site orientation as part of project requirement.
10. Materials
All plumbing sanitary fixture materials will be delivered to site as per the approved materials
and manufacturer's method of unloading, storing and handling.
Prior inspection, all necessary related documents will be prepared and copies to be issued to
the inspecting team.
All plumbing sanitary fixtures and accessories delivered to site will be inspected as per
approved materials submittals.
All plumbing sanitary fixtures delivered to site will be inspected by the store-in-charge, the
QA/QC, site engineer and to be witnessed by representatives. Any defective and damaged
materials will not be accepted and will be replaced with new materials.
Upon completion of inspection, store-in-charge will ensure that the materials unloaded will
be stored in well ventilated, dry and shaded area. Proper tagging will be displayed to ensure
correct issuance and dispatching to site personnel.
Site engineers upon material request will inspect materials prior installation
Site engineers and supervisors will ensure proper handling and shifting of delivered materials
from store to site.
11. Construction Procedure And Methods
The construction procedures and method described herein are based upon the scope and
application of the method of statement and outlined accordingly:
11.1 Preparation :
a. Check whether shop drawings are approved and necessary authorizations are
issued prior commencement of installation work.
b. Check the wall/floor sleeves, opening sizes, positions…etc, according to Shop
drawings.
c. Check all equipment, tools and materials prior installation works commence.

d. Confirm availability of storage space, storage and delivery method for piping
materials.
e. Confirm the area allocated for temporary workshop on project site.
f. The required personnel protective equipment will be issued to all the operative
staffs prior start of installation works.
g. All the material to be used for installation works should be checked for their
compliance with standards and specifications.
h. Issue Material / Equipment Requisition forms (MERF) for material delivery.
i. As necessary, barricade or secure the affected work areas as safety precautions.
j. Always wear PPE for personal safety and protection within project site.
k. All plumbing sanitary fixtures installation should be in accordance with standards
and specifications.
l. A copy of the approved shop drawings are to given to the site engineer and the
fabricator prior to the start of the fabrication work.
m. The project engineer along with the supervisor should check the site for the
completion of the civil works and the portion of the area cleared for the
installation pipe works.
n. Always wear proper eye goggles and dust mask while undertaking concrete
drilling works.
11.2 Procurement, Delivery, Inspection And Storage
a. All plumbing sanitary fixtures will be of approved make or brand, type and model
complete with all associated accessories such as brackets/hangers, connectors,
isolating valves and fittings.
b. All plumbing sanitary fixtures will be procured from an approved manufacturer or
supplier.
c. All plumbing sanitary fixtures prior installation will be inspected as regards
quantity, quality and conditions upon delivery on site
d. All plumbing sanitary fixtures found defective, damaged or non-conforming with
project specifications and requirements will be returned to the supplier or stored
in quarantine storage.
e. All plumbing sanitary fixtures will be stored in a well secured and well ventilated,
properly tagged racks storage as per manufacturer's recommendation. Please refer
to manufacturer's catalogues enclosed in material submittal.
11.3 Installation Works Procedure
a. Shift the required plumbing sanitary fixtures on the work areas.
b. Confirm the locations of brackets and mark on the designated work areas such as
floor and walls.
c. Drill holes on floor and walls using appropriate tools.

d. Insert the anchor bolts and check for the strength and integrity of the fixing
systems.
e. Fix the plumbing sanitary fixtures on the designated brackets using appropriate
tools.
f. Before fixing permanently check for the correct level.
g. Check for any gap and apply appropriate sealant.
h. After sealing, clean all plumbing sanitary fixtures with detergent soap and apply
petroleum jelly to restore the plumbing sanitary fixture to its original appearance.
i. Cover all plumbing sanitary fixtures with appropriate protective covers and lock
the finished area
11.4 Inspection And Testing Procedure
a. After completion, double check again the following:
b. All plumbing sanitary fixtures installed as per approved shop drawings.
c. All plumbing sanitary fixtures levels, height and centerlines.
d. Damages and breakage.
e. Blockage and leakage.
f. Hot and cold water flow.
g. All associated accessories are complete and functioning.
h. When all the above checklists are completed, open the hot and cold water lines
and check the performance of all plumbing sanitary fixtures one by one.
i. Repeat the above procedures for the rest.
j. Inform to the QA/QC, Client for witnessing the test.
12. Description Method for Installation of Plumbing Sanitary Fixtures.
12.1 Approval shop drawing:
All shop drawing must be approved by KOA.
12.2 Approval material:
All Sanitary fixtures will be supplied by Owner.

12.4 Inspection & approval:
3.1 Inspection installation:
- Check model & location weather installed in according to shop
drawing.
- Flushing piping before connecting to equipment.
- Checking level & adjusting equipment for balance.
- Checking connect work & protection work.
- Leakage test should be carried out to ensure all connection is matched
project requirement.
- Tagging for the system must be completed before hand-over.

3.2 Function test:
a. Ball test for Water Closet:
Point 1: Water closet location Point 2: Manhole location.
Checking water flow drain for prevent pipe jam by ball from water
closet to manhole
b. Checking & adjusting water flow for Lavatory:
Checking water flow of lavatory and compare with over flow hole of it
after that adjust water flow will be under overflow can be take-out.
c. Checking & adjusting water flow for Urinal:
Checking and adjusting water flow so suitable for using by valve built-in
type at faucet location.
After finish function test, make report one by one for all equipment.
13. Responsibility

13.1 Project Engineer-in-charge: The project engineer-in-charge is responsible for
carrying out detailed engineering and manpower planning within the scope of
contract, preparation, review of shop drawings and materials take-off leading to the
procurement as per approval by the consultant.
13.2 QA/QC Engineer: QA/QC personnel main task is to ensure the quality of work and
materials delivered to site as per specifications, drawings, manufacturers'
recommendations, site instructions and latest applicable local and international
standards.
13.3 Site Engineer: Site engineer is responsible for daily site work coordination and briefs
supervisors and sub-contractors daily tasks to be undertaken.
13.4 Safety Officer: Safety officer ensures and enforce appropriate measures to protect,
prevent and provide safety to both lives and properties on site.
13.5 Storekeeper: storekeeper shall inspect materials delivered for any damage and/ or
discrepancy before advising QA/ QC for inspection. He shall be responsible for proper
storage of the materials received on site.
14. Design And Drawings
Aside from approved design drawings, separate shop drawings will be submitted for
approval. The approved shop drawings along with the approved materials submittals and this
method statement will be the basis and guidelines during the installation works.
15. Statutory Consents
Not required.
16. Work Program
Execution of works will comply and strictly follow the latest and approved project
coordinated installation works program.
17. Quality Assurance
Execution of works will comply and strictly follow the latest and approved project quality
assurance plan.
18. Health And Safety
Execution of works will comply and strictly follow the HSE manual.
19. Environmental Policy
Execution of works will comply and strictly follow the project environmental plan.
