V-Gard® Protective Caps and Hats
MSA V-Gard Slotted Caps and Non-Slotted Hats meet all applicable requirements for a Type I (top impact) helmet
as outlined in ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 (Class E), and CSA Z94.1-2005 with 1-Touch® and Fas-Trac® Suspensions
(Class E).
V-Gard Caps and Hats meet the voluntary standard for low temperature [LT] and reverse donning as prescribed
by ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009. Look for the official reverse donning logo to determine if your hard hat may
be worn backwards without voiding approvals.

MSA can customize your helmets with your company logo and choice of reflective striping. For more information
regarding logos and stripes, contact MSA Logo Express at 1.800.MSA.LOGO.
Do not mix suspension and helmet sizes. Make sure the sizes match (example: standard-size suspension
with standard-size helmet). Use only MSA suspensions on an MSA helmet. Failure to comply with the above
will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective helmet, which can result in serious injury or death.
