Sukabumi is a good city and a cold city, with friendly people.

Sukabumi is a city ih west java, indonesia about 100km south of the national capital , jakarta. At an
altitude of approximately 584 m (1,916 ft), the city is a minor hill station resort, with a cooler climate
than the surrounding lowlands. The area around Sukabumi is also a popular destination for
whitewater rafting. Tea and Rubber production is a major industry in the area. The suburban area
surrounding Sukabumi circling the mountain has grown tremendously in population, such that
northern Sukabumi Regency, hugging the volcano, and bordering Greater Jakarta, is home to the
bulk of the regency's population. The area of the city is 48.42 km2, and the population at the 2010
Census was 300,359. some 1.8 million people, as of the 2010 census figures, live in the surrounding
metropolitan area.

Sukabumi also has some historical culinary that worth to try, for example mochi , mochi is a
traditional food in sukabumi the taste is chewy , and made from ketan and nuts.

Sukabumi have many tourism place among them is geopark ciletuh it is a beautiful beach and record
as unesco global geopark.

Taman Bumi Nasional Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu adalah sebuah konsep manajemen


pengelolaan kawasan yang menyerasikan keragaman geologi, hayati, dan budaya, melalui
prinsip konservasi, edukasi, dan pembangunan yang berkelanjutan di 8 kecamatan di kawasan
wilayah Sukabumi, Jawa Barat, Indonesia.

Taman Bumi Nasional Palabuhanratu atau Palabuhanratu National Geopark adalah satu-
satunya geopark atau taman bumi di Jawa Barat, Indonesia.

Taman Nasional Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu juga merupakan tempat wisata baru di Kabupaten


Sukabumi, Provinsi Jawa Barat sekaligus merupakan Geopark Nasional Indonesia yang telah
diakui UNESCO pada tahun 2015 silam dan saat ini Geopark Nasional Palabuhanratu sedang
diusulkan menjadi Geopark Internasional atau Global Geopark Network (GGN) agar diakui
UNESCO pada tahun 2017 mendatang.
