2: MCT/MST Observation Feedback Form (template)
Course Code: Trainee Name: Shaikha School: Ajman Academy MCT/MST Name: Ms Sarah-Jane Pattison Date: The MCT and MST will use this form to formally observe the trainee’s performance and to give feedback based on the selected teaching competencies. NOTE: Refer to the course-specific, teaching competencies-based rubric included in section D of the TP Booklet
Commitment to the Profession F D C B A
Comments: Though Shaikha was professional within the classroom, she was late a few times and needs to make sure she attends school on time. In addition she was often absent without an explanation. All these protocols need to be followed to be considered a professional teacher Planning for Learning F D C B A Comments: Shaikha’s planning was acceptable although lacked detail and elaboration. Her activity for Numbers was appropriate however I would have liked to see more differentiation for children
Managing Learning F D C B A Comments: Shaikha was able to manage quite a difficult class, however she needs to build more of a relationship with children and then she will be able to control them better
Implementing Learning F D C B A Comments: She implemented her activities well however needs to make sure she follows up with children to make sure they are following the objective
Assessment F D C B A Comments: There was not much assessment done by Shaikha while walking around other than some verbal questioning. She needs to make sure she does a summary of the objects for that particular learning objective at the end of the lesson to see what children have learnt as well as have an assessment sheet with her to take notes on what children can and cant do
Reflection on Practice F D C B A Comments: In general, Shaikha’s teaching practise is goo however there is room for improvement in some areas as mentioned above.
