Good evening everybody,

I am Gayathri, your contest master for International Speech Contest.

Welcome to BSTC Club Level International Speech Contest.

The purposes of the International Speech Contest are:

2. Recognize the best as encouragement to all.
3. And, provide an opportunity for us to learn by observing the more skilled speakers who have
benefited from their Toastmasters training.

We will conduct this contest using the same procedure as Toastmasters International uses in conducting
the International Speech Contest.

The first and second place winners will represent our Club at the Area Contest in January 2020.

 The timing device is right in front, and I would request timer to operate the device as I read out
the timing signal rules.
 At 5 minutes, a GREEN CARD will be shown and will be kept till 6mins, after which the timer will
change it to an AMBER CARD and will be kept till 7 minutes after which a RED CARD will be
shown. The timer will continue to hold the red card till the speaker stops and no hint will be
there if you have overshot the allotted time.
 There will be one minute of silence between each contestant and two minutes silence after the
last contestant, during which the judges will mark their ballots.
 Prior to announcing results, it will be announced if any time disqualification occurred, however,
no names will be mentioned.
 The Chief Judge for today’s contest is TM Amith Prakash (point to CJ)
