Bitucell 35 is a compressible, bitumen-impregnated fibreboard used as an expansion joint filler in concrete structures. It is placed in joints before pouring concrete to form and fill the joints. Bitucell 35 is easy to handle, resilient, will not extrude under compression, and has high recovery properties. It provides continuous support for joint sealants and protects waterproof membranes from damage.

Storage

As with all organic materials there is a very slight risk of


spontaneous combustion if stored long term in wet conditions.

Health and safety

There are no health hazards associated with Bitucell 35 in


normal use.

Fire

Bitucell 35 is combustible and will catch fire if exposed to


flame or other sources of ignition.
