Comments
Urinary total proteins are nearly negligible in healthy adults. The Protein Creatinine ratio is a simple and
convenient method to quantitate and monitor proteinuria in adults with chronic kidney disease. Patients with 2
or more positive results within a period of 1-2 weeks should be labeled as having persistent proteinuria and
investigated further.
