Education Bachelor of Science: Honours Computer Science Minor in Musical Science and Technology McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Sep. 2016 - May 2020 (expected) International Baccalaureate (42/45 points). Colegio Anglo Colombiano, Bogota, Colombia. Aug. 2014 - May 2016 Work Experience Speech Science intern at Nuance (Montreal, Canada) May 2019 – Sep. 2019 • Voice Biometrics Team: Modularized and streamlined an ensemble of machine learning tools used for analysis and experimentation on speech recordings with the objective of identifying a person using their voice. • Transcription Engine Team: Automatic redaction tool used to detect and remove confidential and sensitive information from transcriptions, logs, and audio files of calls. Research Experience Undergraduate researcher in Prof. Ichiro Fujinaga’s DDMAL lab at McGill University. Sep. 2019 – Dec. 2019 • Developed a system for dynamically loading data from University of Waterloo’s Gregorian Chant Cantus Database and converting it to the MIDI format, using JavaScript. • Synthesized realistic Gregorian Monk Chants and played the resulting audio on a website using Django and Backbone Marionette. Undergraduate researcher in Prof. Joseph Vybihal's lab at McGill University. May 2018 – Sep. 2018 • Created an Automatic Lip Sync system using Neural Network classification to generate unique mouth shapes based on speech type. • Constructed a Dataset using audio recordings from 50 individuals from scratch. • Used the CMU Sphinx speech recognition package along with Librosa, Keras, and Tensorflow for Python to create a pipeline which outputs mouth shapes to match a speech excerpt. • Lightweight objects store the mouth shapes, and use B-splines to reconstruct the display.
