Work/Assignment

This project is a major project assignment having a total marks of 20% on over all course weightage.
This assignment hold great importance to prepare students for practical life situation for selecting
different options for project execution. Students are required to work individually on the
presentation topics assigned and case study that will be provided. The students are expected to
collect all the relevant data related to the topic. The guidance for the data collection and analysis will
be provided by the course faculty during the lecture and tutorial classes through exercises based on
a case study. The students are expected to collect enough data to analyze their applicability and
selection procedure. Wherever enough data is not available the students are required to take
suitable assumption in consultation with the course faculty. This course is having total credit
weightage of 3 thus it is advised to perform the exercise with sheer interest.

Students are required to:


 Review the case study in the context of the relevant OB concepts and theories available in
the textbook and academic journals and use this information to answer the questions
relating to the case study.
 Demonstrate critical thinking skills in responding to these issues, need to go beyond
description and demonstrated deep, critical analysis to arrive at their
recommendations/solutions.

3. The structure in terms of logic and coherence

Submissions should have a clear start and a clear end. Information within submissions should also be
logical and well grouped.

7. Plagiarism

Amity Plagiarism policy will be followed and all submissions will be checked for plagiarism on
Turnitin. Refer to course guide for plagiarism and referencing details.

8. Important Instructions

1. Plagiarism is a serious offence. In case of any plagiarism detected, penalty will be imposed
leading to zero mark.
2. Course work and reports should be solved by the individual.
3. Course work and reports should be submitted on time and submission after deadline will be
marked zero.

1. For Written assignment, students are required to individually review the case study in
the context of the relevant OB concepts and theories available in the textbook and
academic journals and use this information to answer the questions relating to the case
study.
2. Another assignment is to review the case study in the context of the relevant Human
Resource concepts and theories available in the textbook and academic journals and use
this information to answer the questions relating to the case study.

For both the case studies students need to demonstrate critical thinking skills in
responding to these issues, students need to go beyond description and demonstrate
deep, critical analysis to arrive at their recommendations/solutions. Assessment will also
be made on the basis of diagnosis made and recommended action practical to
implement and/or a good fit for the context presented in the case study.
3. For Presentations, Students are required prepare individual presentations on the given
topic. Presentation will be scheduled for the students on an appointed date and time,
they have to come appropriately dressed for the same. Technical and behavioural
questions will be asked and accordingly their performance will be assessed. The purpose
of this activity will showcase the student’s ability to demonstrate the understanding of
concepts related to Organization behaviour and human resource management. Also
showcase the understanding of the principles of Organization behavior used for
designing and alignment of human resource management functions. They will display
their prowess over domain knowledge, coupled with proper use of body language and
confidence.
