Assignment# 1

Teaching Methods

Introduction:

A good math teacher knows that students learn in different ways. She tries to keep up with the

most learning practices in math education and uses them on regular bases into her instruction so

students can learn in an efficient manner.

She likewise comprehends there might be different approaches to take care of issues and uses

those substitute techniques to help battling understudies handle troublesome ideas.

Her exercise plans connect with understudies and assist them with feeling positive about their

numerical capacities. The structure squares of arithmetic beginning at an opportune time, when

learning essential abilities. The way to showing essential math abilities that understudies can

apply and recall for future guidance is to utilize a few instructing systems.

Interactive strategies:

1. Pair work

As a math teacher I always like to use think, pair and share techniques before delivering the main

concept of the topic which I’m going to teach my students

Think, pair and share technique will make myself to understand how well my students are

prepared to grasp the new topic.it will give me the reflection of their prior knowledge of the topic

as well.

2. Make them guess:

Guess and Check" is a critical thinking methodology that understudies can use to take care of

issues by speculating the appropriate response and afterward watching that the conjecture fits the

states of the issue.

I also use this technique while working on word problems with my students. For example, i gave

them one word problem to solve first they will read and develop understanding about the

problem and then try to develop their own finding related to the problem. By doing, this they will

find answers.

3. Repetition:

Straight forward technique educators can use to improve math abilities is redundancy.

By rehashing and looking into past recipes, exercises, and data, understudies are better ready to

understand ideas at quicker rates. A math teacher I always believe that repetition is necessary

while working with math. Teaching methods which i have used in my classroom.

4. Lecture method:

I often use a lecture method in my class for teaching math. I usually use this method when I want

to explain some new concept related to the topic. I usually use this method to give the brief in the

field of instruction, address strategy is utilized regularly. This strategy is utilized so as to obtain

information and idea. The primary accentuation of this procedure is the introduction of the

substance. Right now plans and controls the entire instructing learning process. To make the talk

fascinating, I for the most part take the assistance of sound - visual guides.

Example: For the topic “profit or loss” I explained my students that profit and loss is calculated

based on the cost price because the cost price is our investment. In the event that the speculation

is less and we sell it at significant expense we get benefit. In this manner to discover the benefit

we need to subtract CP from SP. What's more, in the event that we contribute more and sell it at
the value lower than the CP we are at misfortune. Along these lines to discover the misfortune

we need to subtract SP from CP.

5. Inductive method:

I used this method while explaining the Algebra and square root and interest rate topics.

This technique is a likewise called logical strategy in which we continue from known to obscure,

from explicit to general and from a guide to manage or equation.

In my class, I have composed articulation on the slate as expansion with two terms for example

(x+y), and I requested that the understudies locate its square by the technique for duplication.

Understudies increased (x +y) by (x +y) and got the outcome x² + 2xy + y². At that point I gave

them various comparable cases for example (l + m) and requested that they discover the squares

for each situation by a similar strategy. For Example, Derivation of the formula (a+b)² = a² + 2ab

+ b2

6. Deductive method:

I often use a deductive method to teach geometry. I found this method easy and short. This

method always helps me to complete my syllabus on time. It helps my students who are slow

learners to learn and remember formulae’s. At the point when we talk about deductive thinking it

depends on the premises and in the event that the premises are valid, at that point thinking will

be legitimate. This methodology is for the most part utilized in Algebra, Geometry and

Trigonometry in light of the fact that various relations, laws and formulae are utilized in these

sub parts of science.

7. Play math games.

Understudy commitment and support can be a test. Games are a great method to make the

learning increasingly fun while at the same time advancing key scientific reasoning,
computational familiarity, and comprehension of activities. Games likewise encourage a self-

teach association when they're sent home for additional training.

Assignment # 2

Introduction:

The favourable outcome of the teaching-learning process highly depends on the teacher’s knowledge

and the ability of the teacher that how she transfers the knowledge to same student. Communications

play a key role in the transfer of knowledge. This process is promoted by the verbal communication

that’s play an important role not only in sharing the ideas, but also create a healthy environment to

support the sharing of ideas between the teacher and student

English language, teaching and learning greatly emphasis on the interaction between teachers and

student .It could help to determine whether in each meeting the learning objectives in the classroom

can be achieved or not. The interaction becomes the main hub for teacher and students to exchange

their views, feelings, opinions, ideas, etc. it is equally important for the teacher to maintain a good

relationship with students. Methods, approaches, and techniques applied by the teacher in the

classroom should be taken into account.

Reflection:

In a teaching profession, the Information and communication technology (ICT) means the effective use

of ICT facilitate teaching process to teach the subject matter in a more interesting manner to make

learning easy and fast for the students. In the 21st century, the use of technology like projectors,
multimedia, internet, and audio- visual aids is crucial for effective teaching. The use of ICT in teaching

learning has altered the entire concept of education, and had proven to be beneficial for both teachers

and students. Teachers are now able to use new teaching strategies with the help of ICT technology to

make the learning process more efficient and easier for the understanding of the student.

Now days the dilemma of the classroom is changing its look from the traditional, for e.g. two way

communication. Now teaching is greatly emphasis on discussions in the class between teachers and

students. Classroom is based on child centric education. So the teacher should prepare his or herself to

cope up with various technologies for making teaching learning interested. ICT has enabled preferable

and rapid communication; presentation of ideas more effective and applicable way

Through ICT students get the opportunity to pursue the knowledge of their own. ICT provides the

opportunity to the students to share their ideas and knowledge.

Lately, a ton of investigates, studies and reports have concentrated top to bottom the chances and the

useful results of data and correspondence advancements (ICT) for improving the standard of instruction.

ICT is expected as a "fundamental device for building information social orders" (UNESCO 2003, 1) and,

uncommonly, as a procedure at the school training level that could assist with reevaluating and upgrade

instructive frameworks and procedures, in this manner bringing about better nature of training.

Policymakers of education in Pakistan understand the reality that in Pakistan focus should be transferred

towards ICT. NPSTP laid a great emphasis on the proficient and effective use of ICT by teachers, but the

problem is that goal is not achieving as per need.

According to the NPSTP teacher must possess a desirable knowledge of the subject.

She or he must know how to use the ICT to make the learning more effective and understandable for the

students.

The majority of teachers in Pakistan are illiterate in the term of ICT and lacks ICT training. So it is

necessary to teach the teachers, because teachers are not able to use the technology. Teachers in

Pakistan have a positive view and a strong desire to make the ICT as an important part of the learning in

schools.
The Scarcity of resources, including home access, is another challenge that obviates teachers from

integrating new technologies into education. Lack of resources is the largest barrier in Pakistan.

Training opportunities are not enough for teachers in using ICTS in a classroom environment.

Most of the teachers were resistant to use new technology, that’s why they were hardly found using ICT

in class to integrate new technologies in the classroom, teacher training should be the most concern

factor.

Another problem is lack of confidence that’s the main concern issue which is directly related to the

teacher’s lack of knowledge in integrating ICT into pedagogical practice. In Pakistan, for example .Due to

the lack of knowledge it has been observed that teachers are unable to use ICT technologies efficiently.

It is therefore necessary for the teachers to take advantages of the ICT technologies. They should be

trained before joining the teaching profession. Teachers should make themselves prepare before joining

any educational institute. If enough training or no training is offered to the teachers, they should try by

their own to get themselves train. They should be aware of the importance of the new technologies that

are necessary to make the learning process smooth. Abilities of self-association will help them in leading

their classes .And institutes should be focused to make their management strategies able to equip the

classes with the latest technologies. If this barrier will address then it will be a step towards the better

learning environment.
