Leaders are people who do the right thing; managers are people who
do things right.- Professor Warren G. Bennis
Leadership is about mapping out where you need to go to “win” as a
team or an organization; and it’s dynamic, exciting, and inspiring. Training
the campus journalists to write is a good way to make them good writers.
But training them to become leaders will enable them to become holistic and
become the kind of students they ought to be.
X. Objectives:
Specifically, the program aims to:
1. Train the journalists to become leaders of the school
community
2. Sharpen interpersonal and communication skills
3. Encourage and motivate team members
4. Develop the camaraderie among campus journalists, SPG officers
and school paper advisers

5. Develop analytical skills and ability to keep an eye on the things
going around

XI. Training Content and Methodology:

To help the campus journalists with the pressure of handling and
dealing with their co-journalists, a lecture on leadership will be
provided to them for them to realize they serve not only to participate
in the press conference but to handle the organization as well.
Team building activities will be provided for the children to learn
how to interact, collaborate and help co-members in a difficult task or
situation.
