Enemy COA Predict

The enemy will employ observation posts, patrols, and mines to defend their positions and prevent organized attacks against them. They will likely request reinforcements and additional fire support if friendly forces start to compromise their defenses. Their goal is to disrupt and trap attacking forces using mines, mortars and RPGs while also looking to launch a counterattack from the east if their positions become threatened.

The purpose of his indirect fires is to prevent organized movement of the PA unit

towards their vanguard. The purpose of aviation is to destroy massed vehicular


formations to prevent organized attack towards their ME. The enemy will employ OPs
forward to provide early warning. The enemy will most likely send out patrols to the
flanks and forward of his defensive positions to make early contact and expose friendly
flanks and rear for their counter attack. He will employ point, surface laid minefields
(consisting of AP mines and wires) at our most probable avenues of approach to further
disrupt our attacking forces.

prescribed above but will request from the Vanguard to commit reserve units to
counterattack from the East using the HSAA (Navy-Lawy-Grotto road). He will also
request to mass effect the fire support once the friendly forces AA is
compromised

Determine threat COAs


- Minimum 2
1. Use advance and another stage land mines with wires and OP as a
monitoring for mortar attack with maneuver to the left as prediction and they
will be trapped with mines and surprised with RPG and mortar.

use the Reverse slpoe principle together with a squad for fire sustain and
another landmine traps with support of RPG and mortar.

Evaluate and prioritize each COA.
Develop each COA in the amount of detail time allows.
Identify initial collection requirements.

if the threat is defending, identify the likely engagement areas, reinforcing obstacle
systems, and counterattack objectives that form part of his defensive COA.
