Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to American University. The Admissions Committee would
like to be the first to welcome you to our passionate community of students who are driven to create meaningful
change in the world. Please review the admissions packet, which contains important information about joining the
American University community.
In recognition of your academic achievement, you have been selected as a recipient of a Dean's Scholarship in the
amount of $10,000 annually. Please refer to the financial aid award notice included in your admission packet for more
specific information regarding your scholarship.
As a first step, consider creating a MyAU Portal Account. If you applied for need-based financial aid, you can review
the status of your financial aid by selecting “Finances” in the top navigation in the MyAU Portal. From there, select
“Financial Aid” and then “Eagle Service - Financial Aid” under the personalized links on the right side of the page.
After creating your MyAU Portal account, you can also pay the Housing and Enrollment Deposit to accept your spot in
the Class of 2024. Simply log into the MyAU Portal, select “Academics,” and then select “Enrollment Agreement and
Housing Deposit” under your Personalized Links. To accept this offer of admission, you must complete the enrollment
process. We must receive your Enrollment Agreement and Housing Application and deposit no later than May 1,
2020.
Shane, on behalf of our students, faculty, and staff, welcome to American University!
