Acknowledging alarms / resetting burners

After a safety shut-off the burner must be reset:

 Press:  
Selecting an operating location

 To select the operating location:

Local operation: The burner is operated locally via the HMI on the
control cabinet.
1
Remote operation : The burner is operated from another location
via a control and communication system.

Selecting the operating mode / sequence

 Select operating mode or sequence, for example: or

Starting the burner manually

Stopping the burner manually

The burner stops once an automatic stop sequence has elapsed.

2
Load controller : Manual / automatic / external

 Switch the firing rate controller if necessary:

In Automatic mode the system controls the process variable

(pressure, temperature) automatically.
1
If the load demand is assigned externally (“positioning mode”) , the
burner capacity is also assigned externally (e.g. via a control and
communication system or higher-level controller).

In manual mode the load is entered directly on the HMI.

1
In manual mode with double-flame tube boilers , the load for both
burners is entered directly on the HMI.

1
To select the operating mode for double-flame tube boilers :
Usually the burners for double-flame tube boilers fire in parallel operation. If the
design of the boiler also allows for single operation, it is possible to pre-select an
individual burner:
1
The other burner fires in single operation . This burner is switched
off.
1
This burner fires in single operation . The other burner is switched
off.

In parallel operation the two burners are synchronized by the system

and operated in parallel.

1
Manual oil gun blow-out
Normally, the oil gun of a steam pressure atomizer is blown out automatically when
the burner stops. It can also be blown out manually. This is required, e.g., if the
burner was switched off via a safety shut-off and is to remain out of service for a
longer period of time.

1
Starting / stopping heat retention mode with ignition burner

 In heat retention mode with ignition burner the boiler is warmed permanently by
means of the ignition burner. The main flame is not ignited.
