1 Course Objectives:
Numerical Analysis used to be an essential ingredient for calculation based on observed
data for which either no formula exists or the formulas are too intractable. It is Calculus
of observations. The importance of the subject has been reduced with the advent of
Computer no doubt, nevertheless, in many places in absence of available or difficult
analytical techniques it is still a useful subject by virtue of the methods provided which is
amenable for computer programming.
2 Prerequisites:
NIL
3 Student Learning Outcomes:
The students will learn different numerical techniques of interpolation and
integration.
The students will able to solve the difference equations of first order with
variable coefficients.
