Moisture On Fresh Food Evaporator Fan

Fresh food evaporator fan motors may be perceived to be loud or exhibit a rattling/vibrating noise.

Moisture may build up and freeze on or around the blade of the fresh food evaporator fan.

Models affected:
CFE28 GFE26 PFE27
CFE29 GFE27 PFE28
CYE22 GFE28 PFE29
CYE23 GFE29 PYE22
CWE23 GNE29 PYE23
DFE28 GYE22 PWE23
DFE29 ZWE23

Repair:
Install fresh food fan moisture kit (WR49X26666). The kit replaces the duct tower and fresh food
evaporator fan. The new duct tower assembly allows moisture to flow below the fan and prevents
moisture buildup on or around the fan blade.

The kit should only be used if moisture is found on or around the fan blade and not for other fresh
food fan noise concerns.
