Drive Test Plan and Requirements

The document outlines the work plan and drive test requirements for Leads Engineering Company. It includes providing a site database with technical information about 2G and 3G network sites and collecting engineering parameters from site audits. The network area will be divided into clusters and drive tests will be performed to analyze network performance. Recommendations will be made to improve performance, key performance indicators will be extracted, and reports will be prepared and sites optimized. The network database will be updated and a neighbor audit performed.

2) Collect engineering parameters from site (RF site audit) to update site database
requirements: access to the site
3) Divide network area into clusters and designate clusters
4) Perform cluster drivetest and do post processing analysis Provide recommendations to
improve the network performance. requirements: drivetest kit, and post processing tool
a) Preparation of the Pre-drive test report
5) Extract KPIs and prepare pre-performance report for sites in each cluster corresponding
to the drive test area
6) Perform Physical and parameter optimization based on the recommendations of the
Pre-Drive test report
7) Perform Post-Drive test and prepare a post-Drive test report and a Post-performance
report for the sites in that corresponding cluster highlighting any improvements on the
network performance
8) Update network data base for any changes made during the optimization process
9) Perform a neighbor audit to identify which neighbors are missing and should be defined
and also which ones should be deleted
Drive test scenarios

 Cluster drive tests

a) Idle mode GSM/UMTS Monitor the cell selection and reselection process and
check parameters and coverage of the cells
b) Connected mode short call monitor accessibility KPIs e.g CSSR, blocked calls
c) Connected mode CS/PS call monitor for retainability KPIs (call drops) and
Throughput, CQI/modulation scheme and call quality and mobility KPIs (HOs),
and also check for missing neighbors
 SSV
a) All above scenarios plus additional scenarios which will be included in a
report template
 Benchmarks
a) Idle mode drive tests/ speed tests (UMTS)
