0.4.3 MANUAL REVISIONS

The MY INDO AIRLINES issues B737-CL recurrent training syllabus module 2

revisions to provide new or revised procedures and information.
The revision date is the approximate date the manual is made available to the
manual holder and is effective upon receipt.
Formal revisions include a new Revision Receipt Form, Revision Record Table, a
Transmittal Letter, Revision Highlights, and a current List of Effective Pages. Use
the information on the new Revision Record and List of Effective Pages to verify
the manual content.
Pages containing revised technical material have revision bars associated with the
changed text or illustration.
Highlights in the Revision Highlights section provide descriptions of the changes
identified by the revision bars. Editorial revisions (for example, spelling
corrections) may have revision bars with no associated highlight.
The Revision Record should be completed by the person incorporating the
revision into the manual.
Each revision will contain a revision number. Revision Number is the number that
MY INDO AIRLINES will use to track the revision.

CHAPTER 3
FULL FLIGHT SIMULATOR - INTRODUCTION

3.1 INTRODUCTION

The recurrent full flight simulator training segment is designed for qualified
B737- CL crew for Type Rating/License Renewal as defined by the applicable
regulating authority.

Each day's lesson has three parts: a one-hour briefing, a four-hour simulator period
divided into two segments, and a debriefing.

The four hour simulator period is designed for two pilots to each fly a two-hour
segment. Immediately following each period, a debriefing consisting of a review of
the trainees’ performance will be conducted by the instructor. Items to study for
the next period will also be identified.

Each lesson is organized in a “phase of flight” format that specifies training events
to be accomplished and the sequence of presentation. Other information includes
the weather and airplane information for calculating takeoff performance. Airfield
information can be obtained from the approach charts.

Each lesson contains briefing items which are referenced to sections in the
operations manual or the flight crew training manual. Crews are expected to
become thoroughly familiar with these items prior to each training period.

As much as practical, realism will be maintained during training. The instructor will
act as company dispatcher, ground crew, and air traffic control. Flights will be
flown in real time except when repositioning is specified in the lesson plan. These
requirements do not preclude verbal instructions and comments when
appropriate, and position freezing and repositioning to make more efficient use of
available time.

The trainee is expected to demonstrate a satisfactory level of skill and knowledge

in the performance of all maneuvers and procedures. Satisfactory completion of a
simulator evaluation flight is necessary for completion of the training.

Date : Jan 2019
Revision : 0-00
3.2 BRIEFING

All crewmembers must fully familiarize themselves with all areas pertinent to the
operation of the airplane, namely, MEMORY items, QRH, LIMITATIONS,
PERFORMANCE and SYSTEMS.

3.3 PRE-FLIGHT PREPARATION

(1) LICENSE AND CERTIFICATE

This may be completed in the briefing room in the presence of the Check Pilot.

(2) PRE-FLIGHT
Unless otherwise instructed or annotated in the profile, FULL pre-flight
preparation must be accomplished.

(3) DEPARTURE BRIEFINGS

Departure briefings may be accomplished in the briefing room. If the flight
profile involves a short sector, the Arrival and Approach briefing may also be
accomplished prior to arriving in the simulator.

3.4 EQUIPMENT USE

(1) Headsets shall be used for all training and check sessions
(2) Oxygen masks and smoke goggles should be donned as and when required.
(3) Unless required by a specific exercise, use of the Auto flight system is
allowed. (4) Auto flight systems may not be used during the following phases of
exercises:
• Engine failure during takeoff prior to Flaps and Slats (or Leading edge
Devices) being fully retracted.
• After fully configured for an approach with an engine failed
• Prior to descending more than 50 feet below MDA/MDH on a Non-precision
approach)
• Prior to descending below DA on a precision approach
• Prior to reaching Flap retraction altitude during a miss-approach (with or
without power plant failure)

THREAT AND ERROR MANAGEMENT.

3.6 STANDARDIZATION

In order to obtain the same standard among the crew it is suggested that the
instructor or check airmen to perform the training or check as far as possible in the
same manner as directed in this syllabus.

This B737-CL recurrent training syllabus module 3 reflect the continuing

improvement level of training applied in MY INDO AIRLINES.

3.7 EVALUATION CRITERIA

3.7.1 GENERAL CRITERIA REQUIREMENTS

Stated tolerances are maintained in accordance with the applicable operating

procedures, operations manual, flight manual and checklist(s), practical test

FULL FLIGHT SIMULATOR (FFS) - PPC

3.9 PPC

The satisfactory completion of the B737-CL Proficiency Check must be certified by

either the DGCA inspector or a qualified Check Airman.
The simulator evaluation flight profile includes those procedures and maneuvers
that can be evaluated in a motion visual simulator. The sequence and other non-
normal procedures selected at the discretion of the Check Airman.
The instructor will provide appropriate instructions, weather information and air
traffic clearances and, insofar as possible, conduct the flight on a real time basis.
The crew will be expected to respond to instructions and situations as they would
on a line flight and to use flight deck resources available (autopilot, auto throttle,
etc.) unless specifically restricted by the instructor.
