Insurance Business Applications (IBA) is a Danish entrepreneurial company, established in
2010, developing software for the insurance business; “An agile cloud based software service
that advances change and improves the value chains in the insurance business”.

Overall the global insurance industry is undergoing a transformation where new channels,
new products and new players emerge in the market. IBA is described as a “disrupter” and our
service offers a dramatic change to the insurance industry.

Ever since its founding, IBA has experienced continuous growth (+70% p.a.) with ground-
breaking customers inside and outside of Denmark. Currently IBA has implemented solutions
for > 25 customers. New contracts with some huge international customers are imminent and
will support IBA’s strategy of accelerated expansion.

IBSuite is IBA’s SaaS based platform that supports the full range of features for the Property
and Casuality insurers.

IBA has immediate opportunities for extremely talented software developers who want their lines of
code to have significant and measurable positive impact for users, the company's bottom line and the
industry.

Reporting to our Head of Development you will be working with a group of world-class engineers to
build the breakthrough features our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted
platform stable and scalable. The software engineer role at IBA encompasses architecture, design,
implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality. 

Your Impact:
- Reviewing requirements and specifications in conjunction with the team;
- Creation of test plans for upcoming major releases;
- Design, plan and execute test cases in accordance with the sprint test plans;
- Perform exploratory testing on key elements of our software and areas that are not
automatically tested;
- Creation of automated test scripts in Java using Selenium;
- Responsibility for continued development of our existing test automation
framework;
- Assisting third line support with troubleshooting configurations and narrowing down
bugs;
- Co-assess impact and risks of development;
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver;
- Knowledge of Patterns and Good Practices to design and develop quality and clean
code;
- Familiarity with build tools, including Maven;
- Knowledge of version control tools, especially Git;
- Knowledge of application and process testing methodologies;
- Familiarity with task management, bug tracking, and wiki-based documentation tools
like JIRA;
- Understanding of the core concepts of web technology;
- 2+ working experience with various testing methodologies;
- Experience in functional testing;
- Attention to detail;
- Strong verbal and written English skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- A proactive mindset, who shares his ideas and brings them to life;

Desired:
- Linux CLI and BASH;
- TCP, HTTP and load balancing;
- Atlassian environment (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, Banboo, Confluence)
- Cloud hosting and environments (e.g. AWS)-
- Any programming/scripting language (e.g. Phyton, Perl, Groovy, Go, Java)
- SQL and NoSQL (MySQL, MongoDB, Readshift)
- IntelliJ, Eclipse, git, svn.
- Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
- Master's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent field
