Siglakas or intramurals is one of the activities that I know that allows the participation of people
in the barangay or in the community.
The school asks the help of the authorities like policemen and barangay officials to maintain the
safety and security of the students in the parade. We invited different people, who have the
skills and talent to facilitate various plays, and we made sure that they are competent enough to
judge different talents.
2. The biggest community activity that I joined is Alay lakad. Alay-lakad is rendered yearly, it is a
legacy walk for the youth that aims to raise funds for the benefit of the out-of-school youth from
the marginalized sector.
3. I believed through active participation in different community activities may cause positive
outcome to the lives of the learners. It could help to enlighten the students about whole
hearted giving, sacrificing for the better good of others, patience, perseverance and empathy.
They could also develop their patriotism, love to their fellow Filipinos, and care to the
environment.
4. For me the greatest benefit that the community could get for participating in the school
activities is not beneficial for them but for the students and that is helping the young minds to
see what are the real faces of cooperation, camaraderie, and unity.
5. I could say that students can effectively use the lessons we discussed in school to their home
especially I always make sure that I always put together real life situations, values and facts in
one.
