Program Outcomes Specific to Sub-Discipline (BSAIS)


PO1 - Resolve business issues and problems, with a global and strategic perspective using their
knowledge and technical proficiency in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost
accounting and management, management accounting and control, taxation and accounting
information system
PO2 - Conduct Accounting Information System research through independent studies of relevant
literature and appropriate use of accounting theory and methodologies
PO3 - Employ technology as business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information,
generating reports and making decisions.
PO4 - Apply knowledge and skills that will enable them to successfully respond to various types of
assessments (including professional licensure and certification); and
PO5 - Confidently maintain a commitment to good corporate citizenship, social responsibility and
ethical practice in performing functions as accountant.
The Curriculum map is a tool to validate if a match exists between core program outcomes
(competencies) and the content of a curricular program (on a per course or subject basis). The
following letter symbols have been used:
L – Facilitate LEARNING of the competencies (input is provided and competency is evaluated)
P – Allow students to PRACTICE competencies (no input but competency is evaluated)
O – Provide OPPORTUNITY for development (no input or evaluation, but there is opportunity to
practice the competencies.
