A Detailed Lesson Plan in English 10

I. Objectives:
At the end of an hour discussions, the grade 10 learners are expected to achieve the
following with at least 80% level of proficiency:

A. Familiarize with technical terms used in research (EN10V-1VB30);


B. Realize the importance of selecting and limiting a research topic through differentiated
activities;
C. Formulate a step by step process in selecting and limiting a research topic through a
graphic organizer.

A. Topic: How to Select and Limit a Research Topic
B. Reference/s: Celebrating Diversity through World Literature (Learner’s Material) pages
417-418
C. Materials: LCD Projector, PowerPoint presentation, jumbled letters, Cartolina, Pentel
pen, envelopes and adhesive tapes
D. Concept: Brainstorm for Ideas, Identify the Sources of General Background Information,
Focus on your Topic, Make a List of Useful Keywords, Be flexible, Define your topic as a
focused research question and Formulate a thesis statement
