ABSTRACT

SYNOPSIS

This project entitled “FRUIT SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” has been developed
for computerization of the fruit shop. It also has a minimum stock level of the finished Items and
required raw materials.

The motive to develop this software is to do the all work in fruit shop very easily. This
software will be going to develop in Microsoft visual basic. This software will going to reduce the
paper work of the fruit shop and make easy for owner to maintain all the records of transaction
safely. This result in less use of man power and less cost which were required to keep the records
and have to maintain it. This software helps us to generate bills, make payments and do various
transactions. This software helps us to get the owner’s information very easily. This software is
capable of handling all the process involved in the fruit shop.

In this software we have provided a login form which contains user name and password
which only owner of the fruit shop have so the owner has the access to all the transactions and
records and no unauthorized person cannot have access to the records of the fruit shop. Hence it
provides security for the software.

. As these works are done manually at the company at present it takes a lot of time to
complete the work. The development of this application project will help in doing all the work
explained above in a lesser time, consuming a little of human resources

CHAPTER I

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT

This project entitled “FRUIT SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” has been developed
for computerization of the production management of a company. It also has a minimum stock
level of the finished Items and required raw materials.

When the orders for sales increases and if the company is unable to sale them before the
due date, then it gives orders to which do the same work for them. It then maintains a record of
their contractors too. As these works are done manually at the company at present it takes a lot of
time to complete the work. The development of this application project will help in doing all the
work explained above in a lesser time, consuming a little of human resources

 The project computerizes the activities involved in sale of various activity of the
company.
 The Item Details, Bill Details, Supplier Details, Sales Invoice, Purchase Order Details
and Stock details are stored.
 Various reports like for the transactions of the customer, supplier, and products, sales
invoice and purchase order are generated

Supplier Details:

In this module the details of the supplier is maintained. The address of the customer and
the type of raw material they supply, etc .

Stock Details:

In this module the received raw materials from the supplier are maintained in this table.
And whenever the raw material is sent to the production unit the stock is reduced in the store room.
When the new raw material is purchased it is referred by its id number and added to old stock.

Item details:

In this module the details of the product produced are maintained as the master table. In
this the details of the products produced in the company is maintained. The price details of the
products are also maintained.

Bill details:

The purchase details are recorded, Invoice No, purchase code, Product name, Quantity,
Rate, Total Amount, Amount Payed is recorded.

Purchase details:

In this module the details of the purchase of the item and the amount of delivered goods
are maintained. Then the amount balance details are also provided.

Report Generation:

The report is the final stage in this project. The report is generated for various details. The
reports for the stock of the produced goods can be generated for verification that the delivery will
done or not.
CHAPTER II

2. SYSTEM STUDY

2.1 EXISTING SYSTEM

The system, which is followed at present, is a manual system. The system consists of Book
of Accounts that has to be maintained in all aspects. Printing work are difficult. In the existing
system each and every time a reference should be made manually. There are high possibilities to
commit errors and mistakes, which leads to produce the wrong statements to the management.
Report generation is also not an easy task.

Another important drawback of existing system is time factor. It will not help the
management could not act on any issue purchase of production unless getting the reports in time
controls cannot be used. The above said reasons are overcome by using the Visual Basic Since the
security system in this package is more secure than other software packages.

2.1.1 DRAW BACKS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM

 Manual Work.
 Security of information is low
 Time Consumption.
 High Manpower.

2.2 PROPOSED SYSTEM

The drawbacks, which are faced during existing system, can be eradicated by using the
proposed system. The main objective of the existing system is to provide a user-friendly interface.
The system, which is proposed, now computerizes all the details that are maintained manually.
Once the details are fed into the computer there is no need for various persons to deal with separate
sections. Only a single person is enough to maintain all the reports. The security can also be given
as per the requirement of the users.
2.2.1 ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM
 Large volumes of data can be stored with case.
 Maintenance of file is flexible
 Records stored are updated now and then.
 Stored data and procedures can be easily edited.
 Reports can be generated with case.
 Accurate calculations are made.
 Less manpower required.
