Why the weight-loss smoothie?
The smoothie recipes in this book are not just “smoothies recipes”, they are healthy
breakfast treats that have been cleverly designed for weight-loss.
I created these healthy breakfast smoothie recipes when I was
trying to lose weight and get into better shape.
For years, I had tried to lose weight and had gotten nowhere.
I had tried so many diets, and so many different exercise plans
- but my weight didn’t change at all (much to my constant
frustration).
Eventually, I decided to do even more research (than I had
ever done before) on the topics of weight-loss, nutrition and
exercise - to find the answers (I knew there had to be a simple
method out there that worked).
During my research, I began to realise how important
calories are for weight-loss (it comes down to a simple little
mathematical equation of calories in versus calories out). I
also began to understand that eating healthy food and getting
proper nutrients is even more important than counting
calories. The body needs nutrients from food for fat-loss!
