Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an important part of daily life and is being introduced across many sectors to reduce human effort and provide faster, more accurate results. Between 2018 and 2019, organizations deploying AI grew from 4% to 14%. AI uses machine learning algorithms to analyze existing data to filter emails, with machine learning allowing machines to learn tasks without explicit programming. As AI and related technologies continue advancing, they have the potential to positively impact lives worldwide. Some startups in Nepal are also working to apply these technologies and enable the country to join the global technology revolution.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an important part of our daily life, in social as well as the

business environment. From healthcare to the military, this technology is being introduced in all
the sectors to reduce human effort and give an accurate and faster result.

Between 2018 and 2019, organizations that have deployed artificial intelligence (AI) grew from
4% to 14%, according to Gartner’s 2019 CIO Agenda survey

one of the most technological trend these days

History of Artificial Intelligence:


Artificial Intelligence was first proposed by John McCarthy in 1956 in his first academic
conference on the subject. The idea of machines operating like human beings began to be the
center of scientist’s mind and whether if it is possible to make machines have the same ability to
think and learn by itself was introduced by the mathematician Alan Turing. Alan Turing was able
to put his hypotheses and questions into actions by testing whether “machines can think”? After
series of testing (later was called as Turing Test) it turns out that it is possible to enable machines
to think and learn just like humans. Turing Test uses the pragmatic approach to be able to
identify if machines can respond as humans. (“Smith”, (n.d.))
Description Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence is: the field of study that describe the capability of machine learning just
like humans and the ability to respond to certain behaviors also known as (A.I.).
The need of
Artificial Intelligence is increasing every day. Since AI was first introduced to the market, it has
been the reason of the quick change in technology and business fields. Computer scientist are
predicting that by 2020, “85% of customer interactions will be managed without a human”.
(“Gartner”, (n.d.)). This means that humans simple request will depend on computers and
artificial intelligence just like when we use Siri or Galaxy to ask about the weather temperature.
It is very important to be prepared for AI revelation just like UAE have by installing a state
minister for AI in Dubai.
The world is undergoing a revolution in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

AI systems are using machine learning algorithms to analyze large sets of existing data to filter
your incoming emails. Machine learning is a subset of AI in which machines learn to complete
tasks without being explicitly programmed.

The world has changed to a great extent due to new strides in technology. After the ground
shifting changes brought in by the extensive use of computers and smart devices over the last
few decades, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and machine learning are now the new tools to
unlock future potentials to positively impact the lives of people the world over.
Nepal is also witnessing the unfolding of this technology revolution as some creative and geeky
techies in the country have taken charge to bring positive changes in the society. Currently, some
tech startups seem to be determined to carry on with their initiations in order to enable Nepal to
join the global bandwagon of the new technological revolution.

Machine learning is a subset of artificial intelligence, where a computer system is programmed


for self-learning to understand the command of the user. The system analyses the algorithms to
perform the task effectively. Be it commanding your phone through a voice message or browsing
search engines or automation in industries; machine learning is applied in every possible sector.
