Mandate
The University shall primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in the
fields of education, arts and sciences, public administration, information technology, accountancy, law and other relevant fields of study.
It shall also promote research and extension service, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

Course Title: Innovative Leadership in Education

Course Description: This course deals with the theoretical foundations and application of innovative leadership in the respective fields of the students
Following a workshop format, this course is organized in three phases: ILE Knowledge, ILE Skills and ILE in Action. Topics include a review of innovative
leadership theories, 21% Century leadership competer ity in formulating a vision and strategic plan, critical thinking in
problem-solving, risk-management and decision making, leadership communication using technology, collaboration in responding to changes and
challenges, and citizenship and culture.

Final grade in this course is 1/3 of the midterm and 2/3 of final grade.
Classroom Policies
The students are expected to attend the class regular
They are limited to 11 hours of absences (both excused and unexcused) out of 54 hours
required to complete the 3-unit subject. Thus, a student who incurs absences more than this number
automatically dropped from the class.
Prompt submission of requirements should be observed. No special examination will be given except for valid reasons, ie. health or financial
