Some of your classmates are under-confident in speaking in English and do not know how to get
help. Also they do not know how to improve their spoken English. With your partner, discuss what
could be done to help them.

Your school’s volleyball team has been performing badly for a few months and has not won
any matches. The morale of the team is very low. With your partner, discuss how this could be
improved.

Class IX Example Problem Task 3


You have a friend in your class who wants to learn how to swim but also confesses that he/she is
scared of water. With your partner, discuss how this fear can be overcome.

Class XI
Class XI Example Problem Task 1
Some classmates are persuading you to watch a movie after school hours. Your parents have told you
to go straight home after school hours but you are worried the other students will laugh at you. With
your partner, discuss what you could do in the situation.

Class XI Example Problem Task 2


Your school is organising a picnic for the students of Class XI. However, the students have not
been given any role or choice in the matter. With your partner, discuss how you can talk to your
teachers and convince them to give the students more autonomy in planning things.

Class XI Example Problem Task 3


On the occasion of the farewell party for Class XII students your school has insisted you wear
school uniform. Some students feel that it should be their choice whether they want to wear this
or not. With your partner, discuss how the students could persuade the school to allow them to
exercise more choice in this matter.
