Kashyapa Hora - Small Introduction
Kashyapa Hora - Small Introduction
Maharshi Kashyapa is son of Marichi and Kala Devi. Marichi is son of Lord Brahma. Kashyapa is a great
predictional astrological method. As per Sri RG Rao in his book “ Nadi system of is found to be of utmost
value and Kashyapa Hora stands to be the greatest method for obtaining greater results as far as
predictional part of Astrological Science is concerned”.
Hora is derived from ‘Aho – Ratri’, which stands for Day and Night. Zodiac has 12 signs. For 24 hours we
have 24 horas.
In Kashyapa Hora, each day of the week is specified by a Hora lord. First hour of the day is governed by
the lord of the hora. Thereafter each hour from the time of the Sunrise would be governed by subsequent
hora lord. It is important to ensure that you take the sunrise time of the location from where the prediction
would be made. This is extremely important to ensure correctness of the prediction.
Most of the Karakatwas are derived from the Bhrigu Nandi Nadi which was also permeated by Sri RG
Rao. Below is very short list of the Planets and their Karakatwas, detailed list of which can be obtained
from some of the books of Sri RG Rao.
