How To Use Remote Desktop With TeamViewer
How To Use Remote Desktop With TeamViewer
TeamViewer is a computer software used to remote control desktop sharing, online meetings,
web conferencing and even file transfer from computer to computer. So if you have a home or
small office network with computers in several different locations, you may want to use a
remote desktop to work on all of them on one workstation. This makes it ideal for retrieving
forgotten files, and it's also a great way of helping friends and family with their computer
problems without leaving the comfort of your desk.
A neat thing about TeamViewer is you can also use all of the features with their phone
applications also (available for Android and iOS)! Other operating systems compatible are
Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The TeamViewer products do require a purchase if you are
planning to use it for businesses. However, personal use of the remote desktop does not
require a purchase; you just do not receive the business and commerce components.

STEP BY STEP USE TEAM VIEWER
1.Start by downloading the Teamviewer software for your computer(s) from their
website, http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download and save the file on the Desktop.
TeamViewer is like a telephone conversation made between two PCs, so both machines will
need to have the software installed. I’m going to assume you've a main desktop PC or a laptop
and smartphone that you take out and about with you.
2.Open the setup file (which should be "TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe") to begin the
installation. If a pop-up appears, click "Allow" or "Run" to give permission for the software to
install.
3.The setup will open up option page on how you want to proceed and you will have three
options to choose on how you want TeamViewer to be installed.a
4.Then below will ask you to choose whether you are using TeamViewer for "personal",
"company" or "both of the above" use. According to TeamViewer, "personal" use is any use for
which you are not directly or indirectly paid. Choose carefully then advance to the next step.
5.Installation is finally done at this point, hooray! Wait for the setup to finish downloading the
files on your C: drive. Next, TeamViewer will automatically generate a random ID and password
to be used to connect to other computers and cellular devices. However, you can create a
personal account instead of just remembering digits.
On the next screen, you'll need to give your computer a password. Once you've chosen one,
click 'Next'. On the following screen you'll be asked to provide your email address and a
TeamViewer password; make a note of this password, because you'll need it later. Click 'Next'
when you're done.
6. On your iPhone or Android Phone, go to App Store or Play Store and search "TeamViewer
for remote control" and select the application.
7.Tap "Install App" to download and install the app; tap on the installed "TeamViewer" to run
the app;
8. Type TeamViewer ID and password of your PC generated on Step 3 into the corresponding
fields and click on button "Remote Control"; Let's be adventurous and give full control of your
desktop to your laptop. Looking at your main PC, note down the number next to 'Your ID'. Now,
working on your laptop, enter this number into the 'Partner ID' box. Click 'Connect to partner'
and enter your TeamViewer password. You'll see your desktop PC's Windows desktop appear.
9. On your PC, a popup window on your PC shows it is remote controlled by your phone;
Working on your laptop, you should now be able to move icons around on your other PC. You
can open programs, close programs and make system configuration changes too. In this mode,
TeamViewer is also ideal for troubleshooting PCs remotely. Set it up as before and you'll be able
to help your friends without leaving your own home.
