ACB Maintenance Procedure


I. Caution
1. Confirm all power source are completely de-energized.
2. Disconnect all connection from operating part of air circuit breaker. (Closing coil, Shunt tr
ip coil, Motorize, OCR, etc,.)

II. Initial Documentation


1. Record nameplate, serial number and manufacturing date of air circuit breaker.
2. Record operation number on the counter.
3. Record the cubicle identification.
4. Apply sticker identification to the circuit breaker.
5. Record the appearance condition of the circuit breaker (take photo).

III. Maintenance
1. Check the general condition of the device.
2. Cleaning of the device, Braking unit (arc chutes+main contact), mechanism, and control
unit.
3. Check and tighten loose bolts and connections.
4. Re-Lubrication of the mechanism.
5. Replace, if there are broken parts. Bring to the attention of the owner and get approval a
nd change order before proceeding.
6. Record all condition of the device.

IV. Testing
1. Open /Close device manually and electrically.
2. Charge device manually and electrically.
3. Tripping curve of the OCR
4. Rack-in and Rack-out operation for draw-out type.
5. Record all result of the testing
