are quite complex and time-consuming process. It requires a

 Introduction
This software project is developed to automate the functionalities of a
user-friendly E-purchasing system. The purpose of the software project is
to develop a program which provides a friendly interface for the user to
explore the available tours, travels, hotels to get the best as per desire.
This program mainly brings forth the uses of GUI programming in the daily
usage over the network. The program when made to work over the
network, proves to be an ultimate way of interaction between the user and
the manager.

This project mainly consists of a computerized database a collection of

inter-related tables for a particular purpose, capable to produce different
reports relevant to the user. An application is tied with the database for
easy access and interface to the database. Using application program or
front end, we can store, retrieve and manage all information in the proper
way. This software, being simple in design and working, does not require
much of training to users and can be used as a powerful tool for the
automating the online tour. As per the requirements of CBSE curriculum of
Informatics Practices course, during coding and designing the software
project NetBeans IDE, a powerful front-end tool is used for getting
Graphical User Interface based integrated platform and coding simplicity.
And, MySQL as a powerful back-end open source RDBMS is also used.
 Objective
The objective of the software project is to
develop a computerized “Online Tour
Management System” to automate the functions
of travelling. This software project provides a
user-friendly, Graphic User Interface (GUI)
based Integrated and Centralized environment
for travel booking.

In its current scope the software enables user to

retrieve and update information from the RDBMS
named MYSQL. For the development of this project
Java NetBeans IDE a GUI based Programming
Interface has been used for modular design and
future Expandability of the project.
 Requirement
Hardware Requirements:
● 2 GB RAM or more
● 8 GB HDD or more
● Standard IO devices

Software Requirements:
● Windows 7 or higher
● NetBeans IDE 8.0.2 or higher
● MySQL server 5.1.33 or higher

 Conclusion
The project entitled- “Globe Scotters”-
online tour management system has been
completed successfully.
This system has been made carefully and it is
highly efficient and less time consuming. The
entire system is secured also the project help
us in understanding about the development
cycle.
There id a scope for further development int
our project such as we can connect our
package prices to the regular updates of
prices on sites and can add to our project more
travelling activities.
