TCS Computer Workstation and External Devices:
x Only Nucletron validated computers and external devices may be used for the TCS
workstation.
x Must conform to the following standard (declaration of conformity, Nucletron) for
safety: IEC 950 (International); EN 60950 (Europe); UL 2950 (U.S.)
Applicators and Transfer Tubes, Minimum Radii of Curvature:
x 13 mm for all applicators with a fixed geometry and an inner diameter of 2.5 mm or
larger (such as all models of steel and carbon gynecological applicators)
x 15 mm for flexible applicators with an inner diameter of 1.5 mm or higher (such as all
types of 6F flexible implants and 6F lumencaths)
68 190.050ENG-03
Technical Data
x 20 mm for flexible applicators with an inner diameter of 1.3 mm up to 1.5 mm (such
as all types of 5F flexible implants and 5F lumencaths)
Note! Nucletron can only guarantee proper operation of the afterloader system and
components if the above-mentioned specifications are met and only if the applicators
were obtained from Nucletron. Smaller radii of curvature than listed above can cause
damage to the check cable and/or source cable and will decrease the life expectancy of
these cables.
