An epic battle for the future and soul of the world unfolds. The vampire
goddess Purgatori seeks to rule the world and have her revenge on her nemesis
Mistress Hel who, along with her consort Evil Ernie, aims to bring on Ragnarök;
all the while The Chosen—a group of supernatural mortals—prepare to face off
against both goddesses, as well as any manner of demons and mystical creatures,
to prevent a cavalcade of apocalypses from occurring on earth. Welcome to

Thank you for picking up the book and welcome
to the new Chaos universe! So far, you have met
the usual suspects of Evil Ernie, Purgatori,
Chastity, and The Chosen, but don’t think we’re
about to skimp out on other great characters from
the good ol’ days of the original CHAOS! brand.
Come back for future issues to be reintroduced (or
discover for the first time) Homicide, the Dead
Onez, Billy Zone, Serendipity, Asteroth, Lucifer
himself, among many others.
There can be a lot of pressure rebooting an entire
universe, and we want to make sure we’re doing
right by the fans of the original series, as well as CHAOS #2
making it relevant to new eyes. Since comics is a
visual medium, I hand-selected Mirka Andolfo for
the role of artist and I hope you agree that her JULY 2014
style sells the sexiness and the mayhem in a
way that makes the world at once new, while
keeping true to the heart of the universe’s original
personality. I think we’ve succeeded and I hope
you agree.
I look forward to you coming back next month,
and be on the lookout for the next Chaos titles to
roll out of the series, beginning with CHASTITY.
