DESCRIPTION Dulux Gloss is a premium quality, hard wearing alkyd paint with excellent flow
and a highly durable finish
TYPICAL USES Suitable for decoration and protection of interior/exterior concrete, metal and wood surfaces
requiring a tough, durable gloss finish

Composition
Pigment: Lightfast Non-Lead Pigments
Binder: Alkyd
Solvent: Aliphatic Organic Solvent

Colour Range: Refer to the appropriate Colour Guide
Finish: Gloss
Volume Solids: 50-55%
Theoretical
Spreading Rate: Up to 18sq.meter per litre on a smooth, non-porous surface
Opacity: 2 coats
Film Properties
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to mild chemical fume attack
Heat Resistance: Usually unaffected up to 80oC. Some discoloration may occur at elevated temperatures
for pastel shades
Water Resistance: Withstands levels of atmospheric humidity present in normal interior and exterior
environments and will withstand repeated washing. Not suitable for continuous
immersion.
Film Thickness (Wet): 75 microns
APPLICATION INFORMATION
Coverage: Up to 18sqm per litre on non- porous surface can be achieved under normal conditions
Thinning
Brush/Roller: Stir well before application by brush or roller. Apply from container
Conventional Spray: For health and safety reasons relating to solvent based paints, spray application is not
recommended
Cleaning Up: After use, remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning with
Dulux Thinner 41. If you have left over paint, dispose of it responsibly.
SYSTEMS AND COMPATIBILITY
Stir thoroughly before use. The normal finishing process is 2 coats of Dulux Gloss after priming.
Note that due to the nature of alkyd solvent based paints, white and some pastel shades will discolour over time
especially when applied in areas with low or no natural or UV light
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces must be clean and dry before painting. All surfaces must be clean and free from grease, oil and other
contaminants. Remove all dirt, grease, loose or flaking paint, rust and oxide deposits. New or bare surfaces should
be primed with appropriate primer. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down and wiped off
with a damp, lint-free cloth to avoid dust.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place protected from moisture, away from sources of heat, ignition and direct
sunlight. Containers which are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not use
or store any paint container by hanging on a hook. Store separately from oxidizing agents, strongly alkaline
materials, strongly acidic materials, amines, alcohols and water
