SK Excuse Letter

Dear Maam/Sir,

Good Day! Please excuse me for not attending your class today because as an SK Chairperson in our
barangay I will be processing our papers in Bank account Opening as Republic Act 10742 or the Sangguniang
Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, Section 20 (b) provides that the Sangguniang Kabataan shall have financial
independence in its operations, disbursements, and encashment of their fund, income, and expenditures. As such,
the SK Funds shall be deposited in the name of the SK of the concerned barangay in a government-owned bank
situated in or nearest to its area of jurisdiction with the SK Chairperson and SK Treasurer as the official signatorA
Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 1 Series of 2019 of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM),
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the National Youth Commission was issued to
prescribe the guidelines on the appropriation and release of the SK Fund, provide for the planning and budgeting
process for the SK, and emphasize the concomitant posting requirements to enhance transparency and
accountability. In this connection, I am hereby hoping for your kind consideration.
