OPENING LITURGY
Moment of Silence
Conference: Bless the Lord, O my soul
And bless God’s Holy name
Bless the Lord O my soul
Who leads us into life.
Lighting of the Lamp of the Annual Conference
Lighter: We light this lamp in celebration of our coming
Together to worship, reflect, study, evaluate and
take account of what we are, what we have been
And what we can yet become.
Conference: We light these lamps in the name of God the
Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer.
Liturgist: Amen
Prayer: (In Unison) O God, we have come together as one body, in
order to listen to You and praise You together. We ask You to
strengthen our desire for unity and service so that the world
may believe.
Song of Praise Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart
We believe
The hands that make the lame to walk and blind to see
The hands that work to set our people free
That hands that touch the sinners and the lonely
Are hands of God that works through you and me
The hands of God that make the church to live and grow
That gives its pow’r to face all fears and woe
The hands that make for peace to reign all o’er us
The hands of God That work through you and me.
