Sub: Competitive Research Funding Scheme — Reg. Ref: Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Approval

The collaborative research programs are significantly beneficial in building research
community through the competitive fund for partnership of multiple institutes and have
been largely encouraged in the top ranked universities of the world. The objectives of the
scheme are ‘as follows:
1. Building research communities

2. Collaboration and networking among different institutions affiliated to VTU


3. Enhancement in research outputs

4. Sharing and spread of knowledge through multiple institutes.

In this connection, VTU TEQIP Cell invites the proposals from faculty members of Affiliated
Colleges, essentially involving two or more institutions for collaborative research and
innovation project. Project proposal shall be led by the lead institution and others will be
network institutions. The activities necessary for research and innovation, except
international travel and purchase of equipment may be supported under this scheme. The
maximum amount of funding per research project may not exceed Rs. 3 Lakhs.
The proposal shall be submitted in the enclosed format and shall reach the following
address on or before 30" September 2019.
