Expansion Loop Formula PDF

This formula calculates the length of an expansion loop for piping based on the modulus of elasticity, working stress, outside diameter of the pipe, and change in length due to temperature change. The loop length is equal to three times the product of the modulus of elasticity and change in length divided by two times the working stress, all based on the maximum operating temperature.
