LP in Math
I-Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
Differentiate constant and variable,
Identify constant and variable in a given algebraic expression, and
Manifest team work through group activity.
II- Subject Matter
Topic: Constant and Variable in Algebraic Expression
Reference: Grade 7 Mathematics Book. https://www.wikihow.com/Solve-an-Algebraic-Expression
Materials: Chalkboard, Chalk, visual aid.
III- Learning Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
o Prayer, greetings, classroom management, attendance
B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
The Class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will be given an activity material. They
are going to guess if the following is constant or variable. The activity will last for only 10
minutes.
2. Analysis
a. How do you find the activity?
b. What mathematical concept did you use in determining if it is constant or variable?
c. What do you think is our topic today?
C. Abstraction
An algebraic expression is a mathematical phrase that contains numbers and/or
variables. Though it cannot be solved because it does not contain an equals sign (=), it can be
simplified. You can, however, solve algebraic equations, which contain algebraic expressions
separated by an equals sign.
4x + 2 4x + 2 = 18
x, 8, 4y,
D. Application
Name the following either it is point, line or plane
E. Evaluation
Sketch/Draw where we can find your house.
