PEOPLESOFT HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT COMMON TABLES
I. ABSENCE MANAGEMENT
Table Name Description

GP_ABS_EVENT Absence Event definition, the data in this table is the raw reported absence.
Absence data table contains the calculated result of reported absence takes.
GP_RSLT_ABS
This table will contain one row for each day of the absence event.
Pay item name definition that stores the pin details of all elements in GP/AM.
GP_PINP
Use to retrieve the Pin Name or Pin Code corresponding to a pin number.
Accumulator PIN results contains the results of the accumulators in GP/AM.
GP_RSLT_ACUM Accumulators can be used to track absence balances, cumulative takes,
cumulative paid hours etc.
Global setup table for Absence Reason by Country (USA), Absence Type
GP_ABS_REASONEP
Option and Absence Reason. Contains Description.
GP_ABS_CUR_BAL Absence Balances
Calendar run definition table contains details regarding the Calendar Group
GP_CAL_RUNP ID. The Calendar Group ID is the major run control parameter used for
running the absence processes and is a collection of various calendars.
Generated PI data for any absence event that need to be sent to payroll will
require a positive input (in terms of an Earning Code) to be defined. The
GP_PI_GEN_DATA
positive input can be attached to a take in the Absence Take setup page. This
table contains the corresponding positive input for the processed absences.
Absence self service is coupled with the GP_ABS_EVENT table and is a
workflow table. This table can be used to know the workflow status of an
GP_ABS_SS_STA
absence event. A separate entry is created for each workflow actions like
Submit, Approval etc.

II. HUMAN RESOURCES INFORMATION / PERSONAL DATA

Table Name Description
Core personal bio/demo data by Emplid as of the current date. Includes
PERSONAL_DATAP Primary Name Type in several different formats, Home Address, Preferred
Phone number, Gender, Birthdate, Veteran flag and FERPA Flag.
Name data by Emplid, Primary Name Type as of the current date. Includes Last
PERSON_NAME Name, First Name, Middle Name, Prefix, Suffix, and Name (format: First Last).
View is from NAMES table.
Phone data by Emplid and Phone Type. Includes Phone Number and Preferred
PERSONAL_PHONE
Phone Flag.

III. EMPLOYMENT DATA
Table Name Description
The core Employment record, contains employee jobs and job history by
Employee and Employee Record Number. Includes Company, Effective Date,
Status, JobCode, Position Nbr, Supervisor, Department ID and Compensation
JOBEP data.
Note: There are specific SETID fields depending on what table you are
joining to. For example, SETID_DEPT would be joined to DEPT_TBL.SETID
when querying.
View of Job for the most recent effective dated row for each Employee and
CURRENT_JOBE
Employee Record Number.
View of Job for non-terminated Employees as of current date – has no History
EMPLOYEES
and no Inactive HR Status employees.
View of Job for several job related Date fields by Employee Id and Employee
EMPLOYMENTP Record Number. Includes Last Date Worked, Hire Date, Last Hire Date,
Termination Date, Seniority Pay Date and Company Seniority Date.
CTC Job Data is a record that holds additional job related flags and fields
specific to ctcLink by Employee and Employee Record Number. Includes
CTC_JOB_DATAE
Effective Date, Status, Leave Accrual Date, Job Months, Union Member flag,
Bargaining Unit, Contract Dates and Contract Units.
Current Employees Base Data from Job selects all Jobs for all Employee
Classes except Student (STU) and VOL (Volunteer) that are Active as of the
VHC_CURR_EMPLOY current date. Includes Original Hire date, Job Entry date, Primary Secondary
Job Indicator, Supervisor flag, Union Code, JobCode, Grade, Step, Rates,
Department Id and Tenure Status.
Employee Compensation Data is where the Job record gets the basis for the
compensation rates that are calculated in the Job record. This table contains
COMPENSATIONE
the COMP_RATECD field that can then be joined to COMP_RATECD_TBL to
view detail about the Rate Code including Earn Code.
Global setup table for Positions by Position Nbr. Includes Effective Date,
POSITION_DATAEP
Status, Description, Business Unit, Department ID and JobCode.
Global setup table for Bargaining Units. Includes Effective Date, Status and
HR_BARG_UNITEP
Description.
Paygroup setup table by Company. Includes Effective Date, Status,
PAYGROUP_TBLEP Description, Pay Frequency, Retiree Paygroup flag and Employee Type (S-
Salary or H-Hourly).

Setup table for Department data by Set ID and Department ID. Includes

DRS (Department of Retirement Systems) Transmittal Detail by Employee ID
and Benefit Record Number (COMPANY). Includes Begin Date, Pay End Date,
Transaction Date, Employee Record Number, Earnings used for Retirement
calculation, Retirement Deduction, Retirement Contribution and Time used
CTC_DRS_DETAIL in Retirement calculation.
For Plan data related to the Detail, join to CTC_DRS_TRANS.
Note: Extra caution should be taken joining the BENEFIT_RCD_NBR field
because in this record it represents and should be joined on COMPANY
instead.
DRS Transmittal record by Employee ID and Benefit Record Number
(COMPANY). Includes Plan Type and Benefit Plan.

Health Benefit Elections in health insurance plans by Employee Id, Employee

V. TAX DATA
Table Name Description
This record contains federal tax data by Employee Id and Company.
FED_TAX_DATAE Includes Effective Date, Allowances and Marital Status for federal tax
withholdings.
This is a Data Services table that applies the required calculations to
VHC_W2_CONFIRM4 earnings and deductions to verify the configuration and internal
calculations done by PS to populate the W2 data.

VI. PAYROLL DATA

Table Name Description
Set up table for Pay Calendar by Company, Paygroup and Pay End Date.
Includes Pay Begin date and Check Date.
PAY_CALENDARP
Note: Using the expression substr(RUN_ID,1,3) will return the Pay Period in
format as 01A, 01B, etc.
Pay check is the summary transaction record for pay by Company,
Employee and Pay Check record. All pay is lumped into one check and
under one Employee Record. For detail on pay data for each Employee
PAY_CHECK Record, Earning and Deduction Type use the HR_ACCTG_LN
Additional Pay Check specific records:
PAY_LINE, PAY_EARNINGS, PAY_OTH_EARNS, PAY_SPCL_EARNS,
PAY_DEDUCTION and PAY_TAX
Payroll Accounting Line is the detail transaction record for pay by
Employee, Business Unit GL, Employee Record and Pay End Date. Includes
most detail for all other supporting tables regarding Earning and
Deductions. This should be used in most situation vs the Pay Check and
related records.
HR_ACCTG_LINE Note: Do not join to EMPL_RCD on PAY_CHECK –Pay Check is limited to one
EMPL RCD.
CtcLink has added fields to the delivered record to make reporting more
efficient: EMPLID, PAY_END_DT, CTC_EXP_TYPE, CTC_REF_EMPLRCD,
CTC_REF_ERNCD and PY_LIABEXPFLG. These fields are at the end of the
record.
Global Setup table for Plan and Deduction Code combinations. Includes
DEDUCTION_TBLEP
Effective Date and Description.
